Listed here are the main features of iDumpPro.

Media player   

Media player available to allow music on the iPod to be played in modes repeat, random, sequential.   

Backup and Restore   

You can backup your iPod to a compressed archive. iDumpPro will save a restore program with the archive so that you can restore your iPod without iDumpPro running.   

Exporting songs   

Unlike most iPod export programs on the net, you can use iDumpPro to convert the exporting songs in to different music formats and even export the same format but change its bitrate to make songs smaller. All you do is set the path you want the files to be exported to, the format of the files and folder structure if required and then the export conversion which can be either ”No conversion”,”MP3”,”AAC”,”OGG”,”WMA” and ”WAV”   

Importing songs  

iDumpPro supports the ability to import music from the PC to the iPod and updates the iPod database with the new tracks. It can import iPod compatible file types.  There is a built in audio editor which allows you to record or clean up songs before you import them to the iPod.  With this editor you can record and mix and then export the audio to disk in another format.     

Find   

Locate a song in displayed playlist.   

Rip CD   

iDumpPro will allow you to Rip a CD, obtaining tracks from FreeDB.org and then importing the album to the iPod in either AAC, MP3 or WAV format.   

Burn music and data CD's   

Use iDumpPro to create data or standard music CD’s by using a simple drag and drop process. Supports writing to multiple drives.   

iTunes Sync   

iDumpPro will try and determine if songs on your iPod are missing from iTunes on the PC and allow a sync process synchronize both iPod and iTunes.   

MP3 audio network stream server  

You can now stream the MP3 collection from your iPod to audio players in the home or on the Internet.  Just drag and drop songs, arrange their play order and then start the service.   Any media streaming client (Windows Media player)  can receive the music stream.  This allows you to leave your iPod connected to a laptop or PC and then using a client or other hardware, can listen to your music.  You could even have it running on the internet and make your own radio show.   

Playlists   

iDumpPro supports creation of new playlists on the iPod without the need for iTunes.  Playlists can be created without songs and marked as normal or podcast types and then drag/drop existing music.  You can also Rip CD's and import from disk songs which can be added to existing or new playlists.   

Cleanup   

Sometimes music can become lost on the iPod.  This means the music is still physically there but not in the database on the iPod so you never see them.  iDumpPro will search for these files and give you the option to delete them and recover space or add them back to the database.

Edit tags/CD tracks   

You can edit the song tags for your music listed on the iPod and also edit tags of songs before they are imported.  When you insert a CD to Rip you can edit the disk/track details before you start the Rip process.
